{"id":747,"date":"2009-04-14T21:02:30","date_gmt":"2009-04-15T02:02:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/moon-gem.com\/?p=747"},"modified":"2018-12-12T19:16:30","modified_gmt":"2018-12-13T00:16:30","slug":"tall-tales","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/moon-gem.com\/?p=747","title":{"rendered":"Tall Tales"},"content":{"rendered":"I bought <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Anansi-Boys-Neil-Gaiman\/dp\/0060515198\/ref=ed_oe_p\">Anansi Boys<\/a><\/em> by Neil Gaiman today. <span style=\"background-color:#E8E8E8\">I previously read an excerpt of the novel in the back of <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/American-Gods-Novel-Neil-Gaiman\/dp\/0060558121\/\">American Gods<\/a><\/em> which left me with absolutely no desire to pick up <em>Anansi Boys<\/em>.<\/span> I can&#8217;t explain it but after reading <em>American Gods<\/em> the excerpt was off putting. I think my biggest qualm was that it was another book about &#8216;gods&#8217; or maybe it was the name, <small>Fat Charlie Nancy  Xp .<\/small> <br\/><br\/> I&#8217;m going to chalk it up to a moment of insanity because&#8230; well I rather like all of Neil Gaiman&#8217;s books (that I&#8217;ve read) I can&#8217;t fathom a book of his being a bad read. So, I scampered off to acquire the book. Now I&#8217;m all ready to read.
