Free Stuff

I wanted to do a giveaway for my visitors. I envisioned a gift card or a nice item… but since, well, I’m a practically a starving artist, my giveaway is guinea pigs. To be more specific I am giving away icons or images inspired by my faithful sidekick Lunches.

Business Cards

My business cards arrived! I ordered them from vistaprint with one of those 250 cards for $10 deals. Except the back would have been plain for that amount so I paid a little extra to have a full color card on matte stock. I think it was worth it.

I was very interested in moo.com but I needed some business cards quickly and decided to hold off on moo.com because I wanted to make several versions of my business cards to utilize printfinity. So, vistaprint it was.

This business card certainly an improvement from my haphazardly scrawled e-mail address and it makes me feel surprisingly happy. Just like the hippo buttons

Recap

I’m taking a mini break from commissions to update the site and post a few things that may have gone unnoticed unless you follow me on my private twitter

I ordered my own design “Hippo Code” t-shirt from redbubble.

The quality for the price ($24.54 although I had a discount)… wasn’t there. The paint was already peeling/ not there on part of the design and I won’t even comment on the American Apparel shirt it was printed on.

A book I did the cover for came out! Dominique vs. The Light can be purchased in paperback or kindle format at amazon.com.

I ordered business cards as awkwardly scrawling my e-mail on scraps of paper while networking probably isn’t the best way to impress people. The image of The Brunette is from the November 30th post “Games”. There are minor edits to it but it is essentially the same. I’ve yet to receive them but I’m very excited about them anyways.

I’m sure a great deal more has happened but this is all I can think of at the moment. I’ll try to be back with comics or capstones soon I hope!

Baby Hippo Buttons!

My baby hippo buttons have arrived and I’m beyond happy with the results!

They can be purchased for $1.00 +3.50 USD shipping and handling (I have to purchase envelopes, stamps, and bubble wrap) and shipped via USPS to the United States and Canada.

If you are from another country and are interested in a button just let me know and I will look into it!

I might find that these prices are far too high after purchasing stamps and weighing etc. So, the initial price might drop, however, I do consider the pricing as a nod of support to my site/art rather than a deal or bargain

Happy Valentine’s Day!

I missed a month of blogging. I lost a family member in December and I wasn’t feeling up to the extra work that these capstones can sometimes require. I’m keeping busy with commissions and working hard.
