I wanted to create a poster something of value and something that looked nice and could sell. Instead I came up with the above image. Actually, there was more to it but she didn’t look beautiful or even nice so I chucked her out of the image and now there is a lonely bicycle. Some things just don’t turn out right.

Last night I found the above sketch in a drawer. I could have sworn I posted the “finished product” here as well as on deviantart but I was unable to track it down here. This shows a nice little before and after.
Working from Home
I’m working from home…or unemployed! I’m not exactly excited about it. Scared would be the appropriate word. For now I’m going to try to focus on art while I look for work. Making figurines, painting, and drawing. I have a request for a Doctor Who commission which is wonderful. It isn’t the sort of thing that will allow me to make a living off commissions but it will fill the void.

Last night I quickly made this figure while watching the news. Part of my, “Oh my gosh I quit my job. I need to make money somehow,” movement. The color is off. It isn’t beige and black (I lost Adobe Photoshop LE so now I’m using GIMP) it’s just unpainted polymer clay beige. It isn’t as finished as I’d like. I need to sand it and probably re-sculpt it before I cast it. I hope to make some tiny 3″ figures to sell for a small amount of money. It probably will fail but it’s better to keep busy.

When I turned the television on this morning I was horrified to see the footage of the earthquake and tsunami in Japan. Since I’m rarely in a position to blog about anything going on in the world I set to work making today’s capstone. It is quick and rushed but I implore you to consider donating to the Red Cross in your area if you are able to do so.
Windy
Dreary might have been a better capstone for today but it was a bit windy too. Even though I felt like returning to hibernation mode I decided to post another capstone. I feel like I’ve been neglecting moon-gem.
