You’re Standing On My Neck
I read in tweet from Paste Magazine (and subsequent news article
As to the validity of that I’m uncertain.
/// edit:
Okay, I saw a comment on the paste article that claims Daria was already released on DVD years ago. Hmm. Well…
Let’s Say It With Firecrackers!
Happy Independence Day (to all of the American’s out there)!
I hope everyone has a good and safe day. Take a moment out of the partying to reflect on what the day means. Try reading The Declaration of Independence.Let’s Go To Tesco!
I actually have been working on, “Let’s Go To Tesco” for awhile. It wasn’t that it was difficult or that it ended up being anything of quality… I just spaced out a bit while drawing it.
I’m not entirely sure why I decided on Tesco. I think I read that the chain was coming to the states only to find out it was coming here under another brand name (Fit and Fresh,Thin and Lively, or Pert and Perky some such nonsense that will go over well here).
I do a lot of grocery shopping. Quick trips with paltry amounts of cash in hand. I generally forget my eco bags and feel like a dolt…
I’ll remember someday.
Why?
When I sit down to draw I almost never have a plan or an idea. This is why I turn out half finished works with no purpose or use like this one, a slapdash TARDIS in a pastel nightmare.
It isn’t that I don’t recognize the value of careful planning. It is more that there is no reason to plan.
Which leads me to question why I make these little drawings. If there is no reason to plan them why spend time on the drawings at all? It is a question that I don’t really have an answer for. I could say they bring me joy, but I sometimes think they are merely a distraction or a diversion used to fill time.
Frequently, I draw when I’m stressed, cannot sleep, and am mulling over a problem…
Maybe I have a strong desire to make something even if it is bad.
For Father’s Day

In honor of the day (Sunday June 21st in the United States), and my dad, I have crafted a vector likeness of Bessie the Third Doctor’s beautiful Siva Edwardian Roadster. Marvel at it’s yellowness! Bask in it’s unsettling glow! Ignore the fact I forgot to add key details!
So, this is a Father’s Day gift (well a much larger version actually). Which means if my dad reads this blog his surprise is spoiled. However, that is the risk you run when you read your grown daughter’s blog.
I haven’t been particularly busy lately. I’ve been working on a few projects…nothing too important. Watching cartoons, Headline News, and sleeping take up most of my time.
A very good lead on a part-time job fell through sometime back. I’m a bit bummed
I’ll try to post some more art work later and if you think someone might be interested in a larger image of Bessie just let me know and I’ll send you the giant file!
Brain Failure
I’m recovering from massive migraine that hit me suddenly Monday evening. This has nothing to do with the fact that I’m slowly forgetting the tiny amount of Japanese I knew. I just went to write something for Iron Mouse to say and was unable to construct a sentence. Therefore, instead of posting the lovely image I initially created you get this monstrosity.
