For Father’s Day

Bessie WHO1

In honor of the day (Sunday June 21st in the United States), and my dad, I have crafted a vector likeness of Bessie the Third Doctor’s beautiful Siva Edwardian Roadster. Marvel at it’s yellowness! Bask in it’s unsettling glow! Ignore the fact I forgot to add key details!

So, this is a Father’s Day gift (well a much larger version actually). Which means if my dad reads this blog his surprise is spoiled. However, that is the risk you run when you read your grown daughter’s blog.

I haven’t been particularly busy lately. I’ve been working on a few projects…nothing too important. Watching cartoons, Headline News, and sleeping take up most of my time.

A very good lead on a part-time job fell through sometime back. I’m a bit bummed  . It would have allowed me to hone my creative skills but it wasn’t meant to be.

I’ll try to post some more art work later and if you think someone might be interested in a larger image of Bessie just let me know and I’ll send you the giant file!

Brain Failure

oh

I’m recovering from massive migraine that hit me suddenly Monday evening. This has nothing to do with the fact that I’m slowly forgetting the tiny amount of Japanese I knew. I just went to write something for Iron Mouse to say and was unable to construct a sentence. Therefore, instead of posting the lovely image I initially created you get this monstrosity. The original can be found here :link: .

Old Habits Die Hard

セーラームーン

Here is a little fan art for any Sailor Moon fans out there. This began as a quick capstone for a post and became a labor intensive project. Click the above image for a full view or visit the capstones gallery.

I was going to draw Iron Mouse or Tin Nyanko but Sailor Moon was ultimately easier. Maybe next time.

And now, for something slightly different…

Who
I’m dying to bust out some archaic media and watch Doctor Who! I’m always a bit wary to take the tapes out seeing as some of them are older than I am but I think they have actually held up rather well. Sure, it would be lovely not to fiddle around with the tracking but I can deal with the fuzzy picture and iffy sound!

It isn’t like I can afford those new fangled DVD’s. They are prohibitive in price! Not to mention the fact I would have to traipse all the way out to a Best Buy just to have the option of buying either Stones of Blood or *gasp* The Keeper of Traken. I also imagine it is only a matter of time before DVD’s are phased out by Blu-ray so I will wait to avoid hasty purchases.

A marathon night of Doctor Who is planned.

Pretty

I wanted to look pretty for you.
I failed.
