I like how the white dress turned out in the fourth panel, so, I’m going to call this one a success even though the point of the comic escaped me a bit. Tori’s nautical themed outfit is kind of cute too.
Did I mention we have raccoons?
I think this comic suffered a bit considering I was trying to complete it while my monitor and computer were both acting up. I now have a new monitor but the computer will have to wait until I win the lottery or get a second job.
I don’t know if the comic even makes sense anymore. I changed the dialog several times but nothing worked exactly how I intended. I’m just happy it is done with

Smoke
My monitor, video card, tablet, and computer are all conspiring against me. If I were the wealthy sort I’d just buy new stuff. As I am not, I have been begging with and pleading with my computer and all of its peripherals to function for a day or two here and there. I feel very frantic when I don’t have access to my computer to draw when I please.
I had planned this epic drawing of a party instead of a comic this week or next week…some week. For now I’ve managed to draw today’s capstone, “Smoke” (my art teacher said I was rubbish with titles, too obvious).
Now I’m off to raid the fridge.

I got the blue screen of death a few days ago. I thought all was lost. I had some files backed up but not all. I edit my art pretty frequently so backing up every two minutes really isn’t plausible for me. I was saved by a Dell re-installation cd. I don’t even own a Dell anymore it just happened to be the only operating system cd I own. I still have a deep desire to fling my pc off a mountain but that is another issue all together. For now everything is functioning.
I feel bad I’ve gone almost a week without posting. Aside from a devious computer there is no real reason behind my absence. I should post a link back to my Work post. I am working so I don’t always have the time I’d like to devote to drawing…or sleeping. This week especially but I’m going to do my best to not go a week without posting a capstone or a comic.

Someplace Else
Frequently when I want to post here I have numerous things I want to say. It’s a mixture of depressing subjects which I could scream and rant about all day but enviably delete and start over resulting in minimalistic posts about what I bought that week or the shampoo I happen to be using.
I’m dull.
Above all I’d like to be somewhere else because being here does nothing for me.
So, being poor, I thought I would bring other locations to me. I was pondering buying a paddling pool or a sprinkler; however, due to current situations involving new neighbors (of the male type)
I don’t think scampering about the lawn on “getaway” is such a good idea. I would hate to blind anyone 
.I imagine my other option would be crawling around the basement and pretending I’m spelunking but I don’t fancy spiders or grime. The basement is quite cool in the summer but I don’t think I’d choose a cooler environment over hive free skin…
Instead I’ll just work and subsequently be drawing a lot.
Labyrinth
I can’t really remember how I thought of this capstone. I just remember getting a really bad meal at a restaurant and sketching it in the parking lot.
I bought Labyrinth on VHS when I was very young. I hadn’t seen the movie before and it was AMAZING! Being a huge fan of anything Jim Henson I was completely blown away with everything. I watched the Fiery scene repeatedly and was fascinated by Hoggle.
One thing I never understood was how many young women were in love with the Goblin King, Jareth. He stole a baby and lived in a castle with hundreds of goblins! Sure he could sing but that doesn’t change the fact he was a real creepy dude who young women shouldn’t fantasize about. Nevertheless I had at least two friends who insisted Jareth was their ideal man (I hope those friends didn’t end up in any abusive relationships although if they married for love, kings, or David Bowie kudos to them).

and watching far too much television.Somehow I don’t think the book deal is going to go through.
I went to the garden center today. There were so many lovely flowers. I would have loved to buy some begonias or blueberries but I don’t exactly have a green thumb (or money). So I just enjoyed the scenery.
I probably should have brought my camera but lugging it around can be a bit of a pain and an eyesore. Someone really needs to design some fashionable lady camera bags. Monstrous black bags might work for men but not for me
.On an alien related subject…
I just found out netflix has classic Doctor Who. Now, I have Doctors 3-7 on VHS but being able to watch it without worry about the VCR eating the tape or messing with the tracking would be lovely!Just realized I changed the words from, “I’m an Alien and Have Magic DNA (just like everyone else)” to “I’m an Alien with Magical DNA (and so are you)”. It would be easily remedied with a small amount of effort…
