Mr. Senator

Today in the mail I got a letter from one of my state’s senators congratulating me for graduating.
Your skills, abilities, and knowledge will prove invaluable not only to you, but also to our state. —— is strengthened by every college graduate through the application of their skill and expertise. I appreciate your devotion to advancing yourself and the state, especially in the difficult circumstances we are face with today.

Lovely sentiment. At the moment I’m using my college degree to better a fast food establishment. I’m totally applying all my skills and advancing the state by fattening them up and taking their cash. Mr. Senator how about channeling some of your appreciation to get me a job in my field? If college degrees are so important and you want me to stay in the state how about creating some jobs or raising the minimum wage to the state’s estimated living wage?

Ten Inches of Snow

When I woke up this morning I was a bit frantic. I heard a snow plow and checked the local news website and found out somewhere nearby had 10.5 inches. I thought for sure my city was going to have a couple inches so I hauled ass to the shower and got ready for work. When I looked out the window I realized my error. Barely any snow.

And so…I got breakfast today :3 ! Nothing like being way to early for your job and stopping at a greasy fast food place for some hash browns and milk. Delicious!

Technology

techi As a child I had a time machine in my basement. Unfortunately, it didn’t travel anywhere. It was likely grounded by the Timelords. They must have viewed me as a threat. Maybe I was mettling too much with the natural progression of societies or something equally silly.

My time machine was not transdimensional. If it was the the bit of space that the interior occupied elsewhere was approximately equal to the dimensions of the exterior. Thus, if it was transdimensional it was quite a silly. Unless, that is, we jettisoned the other rooms in order to increase temporary energy reserves to divert power to a necessary ship function such as life support or propulsion . . .

It closely resembled a refrigerator box that someone had cut a door in  . It was often invaded by large scary monsters despite being grounded. Most of these were fell by rolled up newspapers; however, some did manage to escape.

Pins

pinsFound these unique Paperchase pins at Borders a few months ago. They were 50% off. I just wanted to check and see if I could get the proper alignment of text and image. I’m guessing it will not work so this post will probably be edited several times. Holy crap it worked. Never mind no edit necessary :joy: . For whatever reason I’ve been having difficulty making images do… well… this. I have no idea why. It just shows how little I know. Finally I was able to figure it out, have it float left!

I’m very happy to have figured this out. I find it terribly frustrating to look at other peoples blogs and see the image to the left with the text behaving appropriately and not being able to find the css to duplicate the effect…

Anyways, the pins, I have no idea what to do with them. They were only about $2 I believe but at the moment I don’t have anything to adorn with them.
