The Missing Link

So, have you heard about this new Ida character? I saw a little blurb about her on the web and I wasn’t too impressed. Later in the day someone asked me if I heard about the “missing link” and of course having seen Ida I dismissed it and said, “No” I hadn’t. A few minutes into the description of the “missing link” I started to develop a massive headache. Ida, that piece of beef jerky looking skeksis thing is the “missing link”? I must not be comprehending because there was no way that little bugger Ida was the immediate common ancestor of chimps and humans. Ida had a tail amongst other things.

No, Ida isn’t that missing link. Ida isn’t some kind of giant Sasquatch or baboon like animal that eventually became bipedal to escape predators, cool it’s massive brain, or see over tall grasses. Ida is the link between lemurs and other primates, maybe. I’m not entirely clear on whether or not scientists believe Ida is step between or before. Frankly, I’m a bit removed and really don’t want to do any major research (I don’t see a tooth comb…or do I… is it a haplorrhini or strepsirrhini… why is this journal only in German? etc. etc.)
I have made very terrible visual aid for fun (I can’t sleep).

Now, it has no time a attached, it lacks pottos, and I probably misspelled something or placed siamangs somewhere odd, but, it is practically 5 in the morning and I’ve yet to sleep.

I think that this initially started out as a rant of the generalization of the term “missing link” or perhaps the sensationalism behind it. I’m kind of stumped how it turned into an excuse to draw something pointless.
